Friends 4-eva

Angie and Tawnya are going out of town today. They stopped by to give me their house key cos, I'm keeping an eye on their kitties while they're gone.
They brought me a full-on mommy packed lunch...in a lunch box. P,B & J sandwich, celery, nuts & berries and a tofutti cutie. They have no way of knowing how that made my day. (At least until they get back to the internet)
It's easy to take your friends for granted. The better the friend, the easier it is to forget that they have chosen to be your family. You just assume they'll be there like a mother or a sister...and they will, but it's easy to forget that they aren't doing so because they owe it to you like "kin"...they do it because they love you and they choose to be that kind of friend.
I know that I'm lucky when it comes to my friends. Not just Tawnya and Angie, but all of my close friends (you bitches know who you are) have made my life so much richer, so much funnier, so much more than I could have ever hoped for.
I just want to say thank you for making me laugh, driving me places, listening, packing me lunches, comforting me, tolerating my moods, planting me gardens, understanding my frustrations, sharing my pain, sharing your pain, walking with me, dieting with me, getting my back and everything else.
I hope I'm the same kind of friend to you.
