Who let the dogs out

Hey dudes…like we’re in the car right now, on our way to St. George for Lars’s family Thanksgiving festivities. I just finished re-installing everything on the computer again. Actually, I’ve only gotten as far as Windows and Office. It’s blowing my mind that I can even do such a thing in a car. Technology is ca-razy.
Anyway, I’m just passing time now because driving in a car in the dark is like totally boring.
I guess I should explain my latest computer problem, though I’m not sure I even understand it myself. See, at around 1:30 I turned it on to show Tawnya how to use it while I was gone. Everything worked fine…it was all good. Anyway, so around 4, I came home and decided to check my email before we left and suddenly Windows wouldn’t open and I kept getting this stupid Error message. Being a total computer moron and knowing that I didn’t have anything saved on the computer that I REALLy needed yet…I just decided to start all over again. This really must be the last time though or I’m going to lose my frigging mind.
I was thinking of having the computer smudged…to stave off the evil spirits who want to annoy me and make me cry.
I’m sort of surprised that typing this isn’t making me car sick.
I can’t really think of anything else right now. I wish I had the snazzy wireless internet, that would be totally radicool. (Microsoft office is so un-radicool that spell check doesn’t recognize the word “radicool”).
Since I ended up bringing this silly thing I brought all of the “pointers” for writing my “statement of purpose” for grad school. I know I really need to start working, but I’m honestly at a loss as to what I really want to do. I mean, I want to work in a library and make more money, but I’m not sure which aspect of the library I really want to focus on. That kind of undecided crap doesn’t sound good on an application though, now does it? Oh well, I’ll think about it while having no privacy this weekend. Sigh.
***** Much later. We’re in St. George now. Lars’ brother totally hooked up the computer and now I am ever so happy. Apparently there were still some “threats” on the computer even AFTER completely re-installing everything. Lame assholes. Anyway, things are looking good now… he even hooked us up with some temp. wireless connection…even though I can’t log on right now because I restarted the computer and the key and password need to be put back in. Computers, while vastly convenient and awesome are also a total pain in the asshole. Perhaps it’s just my computer moron-itude. Yeah, I’m pretty sure that’s it.
*Side note that I can hear Lars’ brother in his room, on the phone with his friend while playing some internet game. “Now, what kind of armor do you have?” It’s killing me.

***Next day. The turkey prep has begun. Potatoes have been peeled, cut and are boilling at this very second. I'm just hanging on for more stuffing. One can't possibly eat too much stuffing.
I have absolutly no knitting to speak of because every chance I've had to do so has been spent napping or fondling this silly computer. I'm thinking of working a little on my grad school stuff (hey! don't laugh!) ... (I heard that).
Lars and his brother (the other one, James) are having a sonic, hippie death jam right now. It's actually very pretty... but, I can't think of what else to call it when folks jam out on guitars. Ok... that's all I've got. (She says after one of the longest entries she's ever written). There are a lot of parentheticals too. I should have been thankful for those too.
*Oh, one more note about that Dave Sim thing, when I was talking to my friend Tawnya about it, she had this to say, "If men had more artistic "light" than women, they would have never written "Who let the dogs out."
Amen.
