I'm so tired
It's a Friday fucking night (only 11 pm) and I'm bra-less, pant-less and huddled in a blanket on the couch. This is what it's come to? This is what being 30 is like? I'm really not sure why I'm complaining, I've been like this for years now. If Lars wasn't on the couch being pathetic and old with me...I would most likely feel worse. I'm actually quite content and maybe that's the scary part.
I've been fighting off this devil cold all week. Pretty much every one I know who could possibly rub their nasty old germs on me, has...and of course, I will most likely break down and die either Sunday, when Lars and I will be having our own Fakesgiving dinner with some friends...or on Saturday when we'll be in St. George at Lars' parent's house. This same thing happened last year. We got about 20 minutes outside of St. George and my face started swelling, my nose started draining, my neck got all sweaty, my hands clammed up, my sinus began to burn. It was miserable. Lars' brothers were in town and had already claimed the two available bedrooms, meaning we got stuck in the family room. I realize that young men in their 20's need their own private space for "private time" but, I'd like to take my bra off when I sleep and that's just not going to happen in the open space of my boyfriend's parent's living room. Adding to that, I was sick as hell, drugged up and draining all over the place. Since last year both of his brothers have moved back home, meaning it will be the same arrangement. No one seems to understand a girl's need for privacy. Especially a sick girl. Oh well, I'm not complaining. Ha.
On top of all that...Thanksgiving is my favorite meal of the year. It's the one time you can load your plate, go back for seconds and make a sandwich all within a three hour time span and no one bats an eyelash. So help me if I get full blown sick by then someone's going down. GOING. DOWN.
In knitting news:
I'm about to start the "Howl" from Stich n' Bitch. I'm not really sure what size the puppy will be, but I'm using a football shaped diet dr. pepper bottle as a guide.
