Snow Job!
Oh how I love the snow! I would love it more if I didn't have to be at work. It's the perfect, sloshy day to curl up on the couch, watch some old movies and knit until it's time for dinner.
Alas, the grey cubicle and the glow of my computer are giving me that hollow, almost-headache feeling.
I finished my Cranberry hat on Friday! (pictures forthcoming)...I think I've decided to re-name it "Pink Sugar" after the lotion my sister sent me for my birthday. It smells just like cotton candy!
Yesterday I decided that I would attempt some craziness from the Vouge Super Mega Ultimate Knitting Bible stitch dictionary. I did a little basic texture, a little drop stitch and a little "basic faggotting stitch." (get your filthy minds out of the gutter!!) It sort of morphed into a scarf in progress. I realized that it would be a great way to practice as well as reduce some of my stash and still have a present for myself when I'm all done.
Because it's all about me, of course.
I figure with the World Series going on, I should have a 6ft. scarf by the end of the week.

Hey, I started a scarf too! I went to Black Sheep Saturday (their new location is far too convenient for me) and bought some very soft, pale blue Inca. I perused my own stich dictionary and decided on a textured knit and purl pattern called King Charles Brocade. I hope I stick with it and finish it...before it snows again. (Lisa)
